Developed with the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), the ISPSC is the only comprehensive swimming pool code coordinated with the I-Codes and PHTA Standards. The ISPSC contains minimum regulations for public and residential pools, spas, and hot tubs using prescriptive and performance-related provisions.

  • Contains APSP-7 Standard for Suction Entrapment Avoidance.

The ISPSC includes the majority of the requirements outlined in our ANSI/ICC Standards. The Field Checklist for Identifying Suction Entrapment Hazards is part of the ANSI/ICC-7 2013 American National Standard for Suction Entrapment Avoidance in Swimming Pools, Wading Pools, Spas, Hot Tubs And Catch Basins and published in its entirety in the ISPSC.
