The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) is proud to announce this year’s winners of the PHTA Awards of Excellence. PHTA’s International Awards of Excellence program is one of the largest, most well-renowned design competitions in the pool and hot tub industry. These distinguished awards recognize exceptional installations of pools, spas, hot tubs, and water features that showcase the most beautiful, creative, and innovative work in the industry. Each year, hundreds of entries are submitted by builders across the U.S. and the world.

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) is pleased to announce that its president and CEO, Sabeena Hickman, CAE, has been elected to the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA) Board of Directors.

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) Board of Directors has made the unanimous decision to hold the 2021 World Aquatic Health Conference (WAHC) in a virtual format only, in the interest of public health and safety. WAHC 2021 will now be presented as an entirely virtual event on December 7-9.

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) is thrilled to announce that five-time Paralympian Jessica Long will be delivering the keynote presentation at this year's World Aquatic Health Conference (WAHC), taking place October 13-15 in Houston, TX. Long has won 23 Paralympic medals in swimming, 13 of them gold.

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) is pleased to announce that the 18th Annual World Aquatic Health Conference (WAHC) will take place as an in-person event October 13-15 in Houston, TX. This will be PHTA’s first in-person event since the pandemic began, allowing pool operators, environmental health officials, service technicians, aquatic managers, and other industry professionals to reconnect, network, and learn.

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) launched the Registered Pool Maintenance and Service Technician Apprenticeship Program to help build a more skilled and diverse workforce, expand the workforce of service professionals in the aquatics industry. As a registered apprenticeship program, this program has been validated by the U.S. Department of Labor and provides employers access to larger talent pools. 

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) is excited to announce its newest Strategic Partner, Hayward. The PHTA Strategic Partnership Program creates special opportunities for companies that promote the association’s initiatives, including education, advocacy, and market outreach.

The International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF) will use its broadcast and media platforms to encourage donations for Every Child A Swimmer (ECAS). The Pool and Hot Tub Foundation (PHTF) will be responsible for the administration of all ECAS donations including donor acknowledgments and issuance of grant awards.
