Helpful Hint: Seasonal Pool Opening Checklist
Swim season is just around the corner! Now is a great time to refer to some of the resources in your CPO Manual, including the Seasonal Pool Opening Checklist (found in Appendix A) with 59 important steps to take as you prepare your facility or customers’ facilities for swimmers.
Having a checklist beside you to guide you through seasonal pool openings has HUGE upsides. For starters, you will be sure to not look over any important safety aspects. If you have completed the opening process but find yourself with unchecked items, that makes it very easy to organize the work that still needs to be done. You can also add any steps unique to your or your customers’ pools so all of the information is in one place. As you prepare to open a pool, it is also a good idea to call your local health department to find out if they have any changes to their requirements this upcoming season.
