Become a CPO Instructor
Did you know that we have over 700 CPO instructors teaching in 127 countries? If you’d like to share your knowledge and expertise with those new to the industry, we would be thrilled to have you!
Requirements for becoming a CPO Instructor:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be a current PHTA member
- Scored 90% or higher on the CPO Certification Exam within the last 12 months
- Completed the PHTA Certified Pool & Spa Inspector (CPI) and PHTA Recreational Water Illnesses (RWI) courses in the last 3 years
- Have 3+ years hands-on experience with chemical adjustment, backwashing of filters, water balance, and water testing
- Submit a CPO Instructor application and attend the PHTA Instructor Assessment School
