If you think legislative activity is having a positive or negative impact on your company and our industry, and you want to help address it, join the Government Relations Advisory Committee (GRAC) and be part of the advisory arm of the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA).

As a member of GRAC, you will have a voice and help guide PHTA's policy stance on issues directly impacting your business, PHTA's members, and the industry at large.

GRAC members will:

• Review upcoming legislation
• Analyze potential legislative impacts on the industry
• Develop informed recommendations on strategic direction
• Ensure that the interests of your organization and the industry are well-represented and protected
• Share your story with national legislators, explaining the current or potential impact that legislative activity is having on your business

GRAC is seeking members who are passionate about the pool and hot tub industry, have a proactive approach to government relations, and are committed to advancing the mission and objectives of PHTA through informed advocacy. By serving on GRAC, you become part of a collective voice that not only responds to the changing legislative landscape but also proactively works to influence policy for the betterment of the entire industry. Members collaborate to strategize on advocacy efforts, provide expert testimony, and liaise with policy makers to promote the sustainable growth and development of our industry.

Become an Industry Ambassador!

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) is proud to launch Industry Ambassadors, an initiative designed to foster grassroots advocacy and strengthen the industry's voice at the local, state, and regional levels. As a PHTA Industry Ambassador, you will be the forefront representative and advocate for the pool and hot tub sector, engaging with policymakers and key decision-makers to communicate the interests, challenges, and perspectives of our industry.

Your role will be pivotal in shaping legislation and regulations that impact our community by providing firsthand insight and expert knowledge. Industry Ambassadors are the bridge between PHTA and governmental entities, ensuring that the concerns and positions of our members are clearly heard and considered in the public policy arena.

Considerations for Industry Ambassadors:

• Professional Experience: You should have a solid background in the pool and hot tub industry or a closely related field, with a minimum of two years of professional experience.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential, including the capacity to effectively convey complex industry-related information to a variety of audiences.
• Networking Savvy: You need to be adept at building and maintaining relationships with industry stakeholders, community leaders, and government officials.
• Knowledge of Government Process: A working understanding of legislative and regulatory processes at the local, state, or regional level is vital, as is the ability to track and interpret relevant developments.
• Advocacy Aptitude: Experience with or a strong interest in advocacy, with the skill to persuasively present and promote PHTA's positions and interests.
• Availability: As a volunteer, you must be willing and able to engage with government and legislative bodies as needed, which may include attending meetings, hearings, and industry events.
• Commitment to PHTA's Mission: A passion for advancing PHTA's mission and a commitment to upholding the values and ethics of the organization in all advocacy activities.
